Bought it for a 8 feet ceiling and it is to high without no option to raise it.

I like fan strenght, my dislike would be its not sturdy enough. Moves, even with attached to main studs. Light settings brightness is also great.

Be careful when ordering this. This is way too long for an 8 foot ceiling. I had to get it trimmed down to accommodate a low ceiling (and that was difficult to find someone who could do the job properly.) This is better suited for a 9-10 ceiling height. (Had to get two light fixtures replaced soon after it was installed.). The clearance from the countertop is 30 inches after 8 inches was trimmed off.

while this vent hood looks great, great features, the installation was very difficult. It would be very helpful if the designers would take an opportunity to actually install this unit themselves. I had the hood installed by a Best Buy professional.

Broke under two years

The motor broke in under two years and the service technician quoted over a $1000 to repair on a part that should be under warranty. Attempted to contact GE and was forwarded through 100 layers of automated messaging. Extremely unhappy. Highly recommend don't buy this product.
