During installation, it was too easy to use the wrong holes in one of the two pedestals. Had to remove an reattach it. One of the drawers sticks, but we don't open them very often. If you have a front-load washer and dryer pair, I definitely recommend putting them up on pedestals. It puts the doors above the height of the laundry basket and loading and unloading are right in your strike zone.

These pedestals work well with my Maytag washer and dryer at a good price. The only thing is that the dimension of the depth of the pedestal is a little smaller than my washer, so this threw off the installer who claimed I got the wrong pedestal and it didn™™t fit. However, these pedestals are universal and should fit Maytag washers, and once I got the right person, he was able to install the pedestal correctly and it™™s working great now. The washer does stick out a little bit from the pedestal on the back, but it was designed like that and it™™s perfectly balanced.

We purchased two of these a month ago and absolutely love them. The drawer pulls out easily and is quite roomy for all my laundry products. It has really helped to have my front loading washer/dryer set higher as retrieving the clothes previously had become difficult with age. It is so nice to reach in to transfer clothes easily and without fear of hurting my back or falling.
There was only one issue with our product. Once of the drawers handle was received broken. We did not file a complaint as we did not want to have to send it back. We can use the drawer, but we just pull it out from the sides.

I feel I must start with that I work for Whirlpool Corporation. I bought these for my two new front load units. The drawers slide easily and the storage area is large enough for several items. I love not having to bend over as far to reach into my front load units. They really are a must have. My previous pedestal had the welds break that my previous washer rested on and sitting on the floor it was rough for my old back to get clothes out.

purchased a new Maytag washing machine thinking we were getting the best. A repair man is coming today for the 3rd time.. He replaced the drum but still sounds like it is badly out of balance but it is not. I think we got a lemon and that it should be replaced.

Pedestal makes for easy loading and unloading and the storage is great. Only problem is the Maytag dryer that is connected to is a complete piece of garbage. Maytag apparently has no service providers in my area so l now am going on 3 weeks without use of my brand new dryer.

I wasn™™t completely sure about the pedestal when I bought it. But it is a must have. It has a large draw for storing cleaning supplies, laundry detergent etc™¦and is designed specifically to fit even large containers. Also, it raises the washing machine to the perfect height, so it™™s easy to load and unload. Pedestal is made of sturdy material and supports and stabilizes washing machine perfectly.

My new washer MHW8630HW4 that was just purchased.
Both bought on the phone through whirlpool. ( due to the face my less then 2yr old maytag washer broke. They have me loyalty coupons for both) . Now what. This is an awful. Mess. Why are these products not tested before they are sold
Why are the model #s of the washers not included in the specifications . You guys have my husband if 63 wrestling with a very heavy washer and they are not lining up

This pedestal was purchased after a trying time between costco and maytag to get a pedestal. it suited what was needed to raise the level getting into dryer. however, the dryer didnt work out, it burned our clothes and couldnt maintain a proper heat setting.
dryer went back. now stuck with dryer since had to purchase from Maytag directly for install, it was a horrible experince and all should be aware, if you dont buy it with the dryer (we werent able to) getting it installed is almost impossible. Exceutive offices of both Maytag and Costco got involved. Even though it did finaly arrive and get installed, having sent back the dryer- now stuck with a $250.00 cabinet that is unuable.
Even though I will make another attempt at a Maytag dryer again - I would like an easier purchase and experince.

We have had our new Maytag washer and dryer, on these two pedestals for the last month. I'm glad we bought them, as standing on your head to move clothes from washer and dryer with no pedestals would not be fun, as I am over 6'4" tall.
My wife, who is not quite a foot shorter than me loves them too, and said she thinks they are the perfect height for her, as she can see right in both machines and can see the displays no problem.
While they were expensive to purchase, we knew we wanted them, as our old washer/dryer set had them, and by trying out the washer/dryer set at Home Depot while sitting on the floor, we realized just how much we were going to miss our old pedestals. So we bought these two new ones and are so glad we did!
The drawers hold a lot of things and a lot of weight.

We bought the pedestal to raise up washer and got the bonus of a great storage compartment. The only problem we have had is that there is a plastic glide in the bottom support that folded over and caught on the drawer. Tried to buy part to fix it and they don't even show it in any of the diagrams for parts. Hard to believe that a $5 part to fix a simple problem isn't available.

We have an older discontinued dryer (MGD6000XW) and are looking for pedestals since my wife is now having back issues and cannot bend down as low. I contacted Maytag customer service and all they said was that the dryer would not work with this pedestal. I looked on the Home Depot site and saw that someone from the "Whirlpool Team" told someone asking about these pedestals with an MGD6000XG0 dryer that they would need an XHPC155XG (presumable same models of dryer and pedestal, just different colors). So I contacted Whirlpool customer service and got more runaround. Because our dryer is discontinued, no one at customer service can confirm if this model pedestal will work with our dryer--they'll only quote from the manual (that it needs a 15 inch pedestal--that's the height, we're not worried about the height, we're worried about the depth of the dryer vs the depth of the pedestal). The most customer service will do is give a pdf of the manual (which we already have) and then direct us to a page of available pedestals but can't provide assistance on finding one that fits. It's like they want us to buy a new dryer... Forget repairs and maintenance on an older/discontinued dryer, they can't even answer questions about a discontinued product and can't even really answer questions about their current pedestal products. Customer service is a joke. Will never buy a Maytag/Whirlpool product again if this is how their customer service backs up their products

this is a really big machine- I didn't realize just how deep it was until my first load and trying to get out that last sock! I have a couple issues; first I have a pair of black jeans and no matter how I add the soap, I get lines on my pants. Second- the machine must be well balanced or your laundry will go off center and you will need to rearrange it. Third- I had really old Maytag machines before and they did not have anything fancy- hot, medium, cold- regular or permanent press. My old machine seemed to take less time.
