Model DU810SWP03 is in our rental apartment. I've owned 3 dishwashers over the decades and this is, by far, the loudest one. Grinding sounds with draining after wash and rinse cycles sounds awful. Wash is done well and the dishes are dry afterwards, but the noise level is unacceptable.

have owned this for about 10 years or so, never had to have a repairman out until now, water was sitting at the bottom, repairman said a new motor that is overheating will cost more to replace than an actual dishwasher, so we are getting a new, updated Whirlpool. I agree with other though, this is a very loud dishwasher.

We have had this washer for about a month and everything comes out clean. so much power on the top rack it blows the light cups off the rack pins.

I've had this "dishwasher" for 3 years now so I'm confident in writing this review. If you like hand washing your dishes before and after loading the dishwasher then this is the washer for you. Since day 1 the slightest trace of peanut butter left on a knife will still be there after the load is finished. Normal cycle blows plastic cups and containers upside down in the top rack but still manages to not clean the silverware on the bottom rack. If you thoroughly hand wash each dish before loading into the dishwasher, it may suffice as a "dish-rinser."

All dishwashers are appreciated by hands that would've washed the dishes if they hadn't had one but sometimes you find one that isn't much better. I have always been pleased with the job mine does. They come out squeaky clean and that happens every time . That is why I bought it.One thing I would like to see added to it's design would be a horizontal and long meshed basket just for large knives as the basket on the bottom is shallow and close to the top tray . Though I may criticize , it is to improve a primarily good product. Thanks for being worth it.

I like this dishwasher, but a sanitize cycle would be nice. It works really well and minimal rinsing is required. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a basic machine that works really well.

This dishwasher is the worst I have ever owned. When building my home, I expected at least a better dishwasher than this. I have only purchased whirlpool appliance, since my first apartment, each apt that I've lived in has had a whirlpool dishwasher. My washer and dryer that I still own are whirlpool. This dishwasher only has one dial, I have to pour water out of my bowls and cups every time I use it. My dishes aren't getting clean. If I had the funds I would buy me a better dishwasher.

out of about 6 times of use. the repair man has been 2 my house 2 times. first time no water in it. second time it ran for 6 and half hours and still didn't finish washing the load. worst thing is this dishwasher has gotten so hot it has warped my dishes.

Very nice appearance goes well with my other stainless appliances. I do wish it was better in performance. does not really clean dishes the way it should. I have to pre wash all of my dishes first and even then the dishes still come out with crazy spots on them. ?????????

This product is quiet and cleans well. However, I never would have purchased it if I was more observant of two missing features. There is no "rinse" cycle which means you cannot rinse and hold dishes until a full wash can be done. Even though I rinse dishes before placing them in the dishwasher, it has a bad odor after just a day with this missing feature. Secondly, the silverware basket is located in the very back of the dishwasher. I find this to be extremely inconvenient. I find that I need to place a utensil in the basket more often than any other item and this is an inconvenience.

I have the higher model in this series, i believe its the DU850, it's based on the same cleaning principle but just has the water distributor on the top rack. I must say i was quite apprehensive at first purchasing this dishwasher because of the negative reviews.This dishwasher cleans exceptionally well. The only pain i have is the occasional rice grain on the top rack if i dont scrape well. Dishes are sparkling and i used the cheap detergent. Aside from everything, this thing is really loud, i'm sitting 10ft away and i could still hear it.The Cycle times are short and it actually uses water unlike the newer ones. The Pots and Pans cycle is prob 1hr 30 mins with heated dry or a little more. It has Three water changes before the main wash on Pots and Pans followed by a short rinse Probably to purge then a long rinse then drying. Overall it's good value for the money.

After going thru 2 dishwashers with touch pads the broke within 2 yeaars each we decided to go to a basic mechanical control dishwasher. So far the washer has performed well and my wife is happy. She did not use all the bells and whistles on the last dishwasher and this on does everything she wanted.

My dishwasher was purchased in Sept. 2012. As I am alone it has been barely used, maybe 4 times in all. The fifth time I used it the pump wasn't pumping any water into the dishwasher. I placed a service call and after 10 minutes of the repairman tinkering with it, it was working properly. I tried it a week later and had the same problem. I will place another service call when I know I will be available. In the meantime I will use it as a drainer as that is the only thing it is currently good for.

I really love this dishwasher. It's one step up from the old single-cycle but without the electronics that cause so many problems.It does have 3 cycles: Extra H/D, HD/regular and light. The start knob is naturally positioned at EXTRA H/D, so it you want to use one of the other cycles, just turn the knob till it reaches the next cycle. It's important to note that this choice must be done before latching the door, which starts the cycle.I also like the heat/no heat drying settings, done by a simple rocker switch that only goes one way or the other. I run mine in the evening, use no heat dry and leave the door open with the racks pulled out overnight to air dry the dishes.The bottom rack was well designed, with different rack sizes and spacing between the tines, allowing for great flexibility. Unfortunately, the upper rack has ZERO flexibility, as everything is spaced the same. The noise level also seems unusually high for a built-in product. Because of these two deliberate design flaws, I took off two stars from what would have otherwise been a five star rating, leaving a very good rating but one that could have been higher.

My family loves our new dishwasher. Our only complaint about it, is the sound level. It is very loud. We have to practically yell when it is running. Other wise, we love the dishwasher. It cleans great, even dishes that have not been rinsed for days.

We purchased this dishwasher 3 years ago to replace a very old one. It is a little noisy. Then about a month ago I noticed water on the floor after I ran a load of dishes. After further investigation the seal is cracked at the bottom so it leaks onto the floor. I am not impressed. It is only 3 years old.

I recently sold my townhouse where I lived when purchasing this dishwasher. It was so quiet that in the open area downstairs it could run and you could talk on the phone and also hear the TV when it was running. My dishes were clean, none were "foggy" or "cloudy" and all in all; it was just what I wanted. The new owners love it too.
